From the 1985 LP "Just In Time" on Ronn Records. Great funk from blues/R&B artist Ernie Johson's first album, which he wrote, produced and arranged. Hailing from Winnsboro, Los Angeles, Ernie was born in the 40's. His career started in the 60's after moving to Dallas, Texas. He formed his own band the Soul Blenders and recorded his first single, "Lovin You" b/w "Cold Cold Heart," for Fats Washington's Movin' Records in 1968. Ernie has recorded several albums after this one and is active on the blues festival circuit, but it said not to tour or perform outside the Deep South a great deal. I have tried to find a MySpace page or something with more information, but not had success yet.
Ernie is, in the words of Soubluesmusic "one of our best living soul bluesmen and he deserves more attention folks".

@elvispreseli Yes, "You're Gonna Miss Me" is on the album. "Soul Blenders" is not. You can check the entire LP here:double-w-double-w-double-w.discogs.com/Ernie-Johnson-Just-In-Time/release/2385545

Hey missfunkyflyy ! Great track! I've just found this in my 45 collection. Fantastic Deep Soul/Blues on flip of his Soul Blenders tune, You're Gonna Miss Me. Is that on the album? KTF.
