WISH he was instead we have a guy who isn't even half his height! How can they give Tom Cruise the part? Just goes to show how much power Cruise really has in Hollywood. People who don't know Jack Reacher books are probably the only ones who'll really enjoy the movie

Imo, Cruise isn't Reacher as a Lexus isn't a Mercedes or as
Las Vegas isn't Monaco. All fake and bad copy, not original,
not truly mature. Only surface, no contend nor history.
Giving him the role would be an utter failure and the movie will be bound
to ruin the Reacher myth!
I figure Reacher more as a mix between Daniel Craig (the new James Bond)
and Till Lindemann (Singer of Rammstein).

Got hooked on Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels. They're all awesome. I'm actually reading One Shot now, might be the 8th or so book - not following the order. Although liking the idea of a movie, why don't cast someone like Chance Kelly instead of the opposite of Jack Reacher as we know and like him. Don't get me wrong, Cruise was great in Collateral, but he can't pull out Jack Reacher.
