i had the very same problem and then eventually it didnt read anything, u have to buy a "cleaner" disc that cleans the laser eye of the ps2 or throw the ps2 into the bin and buy the ps3 ? :P

yea if your coming from the left you should loop around the back of the goal and shoot to the right side of the net, which might be the goalies open side but even if the goalie is over there you can sneak it in alot of the time....if you deke inwards (towards the goalie) right before you loop around the back of the net, sometimes the goalie will dive or lunge for the puck, leaving you a wide open goal when you wrap around
