@DubSpot - What would really help is if there was a site with the audio files to download and use in conjunction with the video.

@ozycar get technics ,used ones best choice ive ever made! and any mixer with innofader or a vestax/rane(crossfader heaven?;))
-
your sense of humor is awesome haha

@ozycar I am a noob too and shouldn't probably be giving advice... but I have an Audio Technica AT-LP120 that I've been doing some spinning on... it's not a technics... but it looks exactly like the nice 1200's haha. but you can pick em up for pretty cheap, so give that a look maybe.

@YeahItsSpinnin Anything a bit more affordable to begin with, or do you think i'd be better off splashing out and going straight for the top end?
-
@ozycar technics turntables and a vestax or rane mixer
-
What would you recommend as some good turntables and mixer simply for learning to scratch within traktor?
-
These videos are awesome and hilarious. I really want to get a turntable one day.

I just picked up a Stanton T-90 turntable and RM3 mixer for cheap to start trying to scratch with. Can't wait to try out the techniques in these videos!

@g4mmo really it's personal preference, different djs will use different methods but it's totally up to you. It is a great exercise though to practice both and work on your ambidexterity.
