A tribute to Air Koryo of North Korea, voted the Worlds Worst Airline! This airline is literally illegal in many countries due to the lack of safety! In Europe, the airline is known as a "flying coffin!"

@SunriseHealthFoods Several reasons why Air Koryo don't use Q400 or CRJs. Firstly, the US (and by extension, nations under US suzerainty) have sanctions on the export of key technologies to DPRK, Secondly, Air Koryo traditionally uses Soviet/CIS equipment, and switching to unrelated western equipment is not worth it. Koryo does have some new equipment, (shown here at 2:00), in the form of TU-204. However the airline has little money to spend, hainvg only 2 or 3 TU-204s out of ~40 aircraft total

Because the Russian planes are cheaper, easily available and suited for their needs.
Boeings are american, and they boycot that country, and America wont sell them any anyways. They would not want to fly something made by their enemy.. it would be shame
They have a pretty good safety record.. hardly any accidents since Air Koryo was founded. Their pilots are experienced former airforce men.. their fathers probably flew mig15s in the war
