The Smithereens were/are awesome! This was a great show, with The 'Reens, Patti and Los Lobos...wow...wish the weather had been a little better, but I ain't complaining!

Well it is sad that so few people appreciate the Smithereens - they ARE an excellent band and Dinizio writes a lot of great songs.
And it's not healthy to get so big. Pat was a thin man just 15 years ago. Maybe he has a glandular problem (seriously).
Long Live the Smithereens - but bring back Mike Mesaros!!

Glad I live in Jersey and get to see them all the time...and FUCK the "tvjunkie1000" asshole (who is either Elliot Offen, or wants to suck Elliot's dick) with the Pat Dinizio comment! What does that have to do with anything?! You can only dream of having the songwriting talent, or ANY talent, that Pat has...you fucking moron!

Thanks for posting this. I forwarded through some of it, but liked seeing Patti Smith singing "Because the Night" and couldn't wait to get to Cheap Trick. Wish I had been there. Cheap Trick Rocks!

Cheap Trick does rock! They definitely don't get their due as a great classic rock band. The songs really come across in a live environment.
