To be on a commercial u need an agent; then if some one needs say a 12yr old girl with brown hair for a commercial, they go tothe agency site and ask the agent who will put forward everyone who they think will make the cut. Then, those people audition, and the best will be shortlisted and usually audition again. Then, at the end they chose the best person and do costume fitting.
Then, a few weeks later is the shoot!
