The original FX was great when you felt alone or lonesome. You'd flip it on and even if there wasn't a live show on, they would do the 30 minute cut ins and you'd just kind of feel like you had company nearly 24 hours a day.

@donutpower - I watched Backchat every Sunday afternoon (if I wasn't at the mall or at a friend's house), and watched In Living Color EVERY night and Family Affair in the mornings during the summer. I loved the network IDs and the sign-off that I saw every night during the summer of 1996 with the national anthem whistled over the title screens of the shows they aired. When they changed their format and idents in 1997, I tuned out.

Media General Cable in Fairfax Country back in the 90's was going to add FX to there channel lineup and they never did. Media General Cable Sampler Channel a channel that sampler 90's channels never did air FX.

Oh, I missed those days of FX show back in 1996. Now that is fucking sick when it was not anymore.

Thanks for posting. I really miss the original format of the fX Network. It should've never changed.

Fox after Breakfast was actually "born from the ashes" of FX's Breakfast Time!
(it was "the beginning of the end" of FX, imho!)

I heard that, Wendy!
I miss the HELL outta the days of "TV made fresh daily", too!
