This song may sound funny, but when you really pay attention to the lyrics, it's a plea for human dignity. Harry is saying that if he gets to the point where he can't feed, dress, or go to the bathroom by himself, he doesn't want to live anymore, because life wouldn't be worth living without dignity and self-sufficiency. I agree with him.
I'd rather be dead than wet my bed? I almost wet myself watching this. This could almost be a lost episode of Monty Python. The narration is priceless. I don't know what's funnier: Richard Perry's deadpan Brooklynese, or Harry's impersonation of it. Was Harry genius or mad? Probably both. Brilliant!
