She probably prefers mint ice cream because catnip is part of the "mint" family of plants. My cats are drawn to pain relieving creme (like BENGAY®) because it has menthol is one of the main active ingredients; although we don't encourage them to lick it.

@churchmousie Oh I had a cat named Travis years ago who would crawl under the sheets and try to lick my legs if I had Bengal on a pulled muscle LOL True about it being mint but if this was mango sorbet Penny would want it. She LOVES anything cold or creamy - or both.
