I only ever heard this song when a mate played it, a few times, about 20 YEARS ago.
I loved the music, and also the bitter-sweet nostalgia ("...back in '78...and spending £3 on a Pistols LP...": at the time I thought, "Blimey! Now an LP is about a tenner!").
And now, after Googling the title, I'm once again enjoying soppy, gooey-eyed nostalgia, only now, it's for my lost youth from the early 90's, and those happy days when my old mate introduced me to this great tune...

I remember buying this long awaited "Countdown" compilation from the dodgy Chinese bloke in Ganton St, off Carnaby Street.
This posting takes me right back to my crappy LI150 and my suit from the Cavern!
