I am doing the same thing, but I used the carvewright probe to create a scan of a guitar, the software turns the scan into an editable pattern which you can then stamp onto a piece of wood. another option is to purchase the STL importer add on to the software which allows you to import 3D models from CAD programs such as Autodesk Inventor.

For the price of this machine that's pretty good, I personally haven't seen any 2 x 4 cnc's in this price range

One would be much better off getting a 2x4 cnc router and a good cam program. You could do more.

Well this just answered the only question I had about this thing, thanks... oh, and all my cheesy guitars will be your fault.

How did you program this into your computer?
I'm looking to do the same thing, but I can't figure it out

I used the proprietary Carvewright software. It was a pretty awful task, the software is extremely uncooperative, but if you're looking to use a carvewright that's pretty much your only option.
