I'd never heard of a dust devil until I visited Arizona dropzone while still on student status. Saw a parachutist canopy do just that at around 80 feet and he landed with line twists. Scary.

more than a dust devil is just a wind current or whirlwind. there no dust, therefore its not a dust devil. a small mini wind twister.

yea, just when you thought you could relax & come in for a landing, hahaha no... wake-up, when you're on the ground gathering up your canopy, the jump is over.
