  • Loved seeing your Crimson stuff. But where is the later period Tony? The Discipline, Beat, Three of a Perfect Pair LP's are three really strong albums. I enjoy the later period more than the early stuff. It is still Fripp but with Belew, Tony Levin and Bill Bruford. Some of the wildest/best guitar oriented prog that I ever heard and the live shows are just as good. I had to rant a little because I was waiting for you to show those LP's. Anyways, liked your update per usual~

  • @Paneeks1960 Hey Rob, I actually haven't really ventured into later Crimson just yet, but based on your recommendation I believe I will now. Thanks bro.

  • hey Tony,i got your message and i hope you got my reply.youtube was acting funny that day and it never said "your message has been sent" so let me know if you got it.

  • @dimebagdave77 Hey Dave, how you doing man? I did, I only didn't write you back because I didn't know if you'd see it. Hope you are well me. PM me anytime, I mean that!

  • i once had a chance to buy a copy of poseidon - a near mint original 1970 pressing (on the 1841 broadway atlantic label) - for $13. "ehhhhh i'll wait 'til i find it cheaper". i need to be fucking shot. and i fucking love the johnny wetton era (larks', starless, red). three of the greatest albums ever made

  • CHECK OUT MY PINK FLOYD RECORD COLLECTION AND COMMENT ON WHAT U THINK

  • Great collection I enjoyed this one alot! Dont throw your ANIMALS in the trash put it up on your wall or somethin!

  • Thats a really nice Floyd Collection. I have never liked that version of the Relics cover, its a bit scary. I have no Crimson on vinyl yet, finding them at a good price is not easy.

...Space Arse Lol I still laugh when i think of you watching that.

  • @MrFartboy79 Please check out Discipline. Beat and Three Of a Perfect Pair. You got Bill Bruford, Tony Levin, Adrian Belew and Robert Fripp. That lineup was one of the best shows that I have ever seen. I know you will really enjoy all three records. The good thing about them is that are affordable and accessible. If you want to start with just one, start with Discipline. That was 1981 and it was the start of the Crimson lineup of today minus Bruford. Good luck with it ,

    Rob

  • @SublimMedia Jonas, no I actually live in the states, in Connecticut, about an hour and a half from the City. I'll usually take the train to NY. Are you staying in NYC the whole time or venturing out a bit?

Yeah, work is a bitch! Haha, I'm ready to retire! lol

  • @MrFartboy79 i love the sound on that new Syd Barrett LP,even the remixes came out great imo.i read in an autobiography that the reason they put the plumb and the matches on the cover of Madcap/Barrett is because Syd sat in the corner of the room for hours with these two items tripping and being mesmerized by them.apparently he thought that the plumb was a planet and when one of his bandmates came around and ate it,it almost blew his mind! i think those are bottle openers on Relics.takecareTony
