Shadow of the Colossus

I read about this game in the Internet on the site of the german newsmagazin Spiegel. It is very unusual, that a magazine writes about a video game, but after I read the article (http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/web/0,1518,402686,00.html but beware, it's in german!) I thought: "Wow, what a game!" At this time I hadn't purchased a PS2. But after I get one, one of the first games I purchased was SotC!
In my opinion it's not only a game, it's is some sort of virtual, interacive art! The developers created a world of wonderful landscapes and a hero, who isn't really a hero! He must kill creatures to get a glimpse hope of rescueing his beloved girl! The lonelyness of the hero is pictured in the deserted landscapes, the only other creature, besides the colossuses and some small lizards is the horse, on which our hero rides. The whole game is a masterpiece, a masterpiece of stillness, light and melancholy! In my opinion this game is more than entertainment, it is a piece of art!
