Smith College Squash Scholar Athletes

At one of the U.S.'s top academic colleges (the largest women's college), there is a special group of women (The Varsity Squash Team) who not only represent their college in athletics, but get great grades as well! Out of 19 athletes on their roster, 12 of the Smith College Squash team won a Scholar-Athlete Award yesterday (April 7th, 2009) for having a GPA of 3.5 or above. The team has more scholar-athletes than any of the Ivy's! (Three of the team won CSA Scholar-Athlete Awards - two more had the GPA but needed to have played in 2 more matches to qualify - which would have put Smith ahead of every sqush program in the U.S.A.!!)
