The performance of timeless beauty, glorious expression and great pleasure. Thank you, dear Doug.

@meltzerboy Interesting, that she also performed Russian repertoire in German :-) For instance, her Snegurochka by Rimsky-Korsakov is amazing.

Wonderful diction, lovely tone and a nice feel for the material. She also sang in Spanish. Too bad that Victor in its great wisdom never brought Gluck and McCormack together in the studio. Thanks Doug.

Quite the linguist is Alma Gluck! Without going into the intricacies of the differences between Scottish Gaelic and the Scottish language, I think this record reveals a convincing Scots accent. Gluck also sings in fluent French, Italian, Hebrew, Yiddish, and perhaps Russian. Did she ever record in German? The singing itself is, as always, lovely.

"Du, du liegst mir im Herzen" and believe perhaps a few more, with tenor Paul Reimers, some of which are very nice. Thank you, Nate!
