2600 dps.. itd be way higher if u knew what u were doing.

lol little dps very very little with my mage i did do 15k =15000 critic
no 6000

my dps recount were 4600+

as arcane i can easily put out 4k dps on boss encounters, and over a short heroic boss with a heroism can get over 7k

you went oom? you obviously was using a wrong rotation, and even stacking it to 2 debuffs on longer fights can still easily get 3k+ dps

I have got a mage myself.
I leveled as frost, and when I came to 80 I specced Arcane since it's like insane dps and stuff.
But, then I realized that Arcane Mages goes OOM very fast, and can't really do as much dps as you should. In form of stacking Arcane debuff x3 and spamming Arcane Blast + Missiles.
So I went Fire, with icy veins and hit rating from frost.
It works great for me, and there's really a lot more fun to play than spam 3 buttons ;p

Actually... I've proven that Arcane is probably the best DPS spec if you stack haste, considering i've had 17 mages ask me for advice on my 3.9k dps in heroics. in 25 man naxx my DPS is around 5.9 - 6.2 depending on perks, eg. heroism.
Then again, on Thaddius/Loatheb it shoots wayyyyy up! ^^

this was before the wotlk expansion pack came out he is only stil lv 70, so would say this is pretty gut dps

I know that it's not the best dmg. Look @ the date, ffspec was buggy at this time

Ever heard of theorycraft? No? Livin Bomb is doin ~ +240 DPS when it's activ.
