SYMBOLISM:
The city is meant to symbolize the world. The bubbles/light floating up are symbols for prayers. The eventual bubbles floating down is the response. The roadways are a symbol for "path" that is so often used in Scripture to describe one's life and choices.

The song seems to question God and his actions. I know what it is to do that. You probably don't know this, but I have a degree in Theology and spent a year in graduate school thinking I was going to be a teacher. Plans changed but that doesn't mean my beliefs did. I do not wish to start a debate here one way or the other. What I wanted to do with this was illustrate the struggle that so often happens to enter into mature faith. "The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away." - Job 1:21. For some, "he chose to deny" as the song goes.

The 1st quote you see in the video is from Revelation 3:20 .

@teddy4dvids So a band can discuss religious/political things, but I can't represent those things? I didn't say God doesn't answer prayers. I showed (at the beginning) an example where God didn't say "yes" to a prayer. Later, I gave a scriptural example where it felt/appeared like God didn't reply, but in fact, he did (Lazarus). Finally, your last statement is a typical example of forgetting free will. If God answered every person's prayer with a yes, then he would not be God. You would.
