Taos, New Mexico. New Years Day, 2010... 3 degrees at dawn and the drums start beating at first light. Hispano Comanche dancers begin the celebration of Emmanuel in the local villages traveling as a caravan and stopping to dance at select homes in honor and as a blessing. Dressed in buckskin and feathers they sing their oldest songs on tribute to their indigenous metizo heritage.
