The band formed in late 2009 with two members, Fran O'Connor and Dónal O'Sullivan. With Dónal on acoustic guitar, Fran on piano and both on vocals, their original style was purely a laid-back, easy going acoustic sound. Then, in November 2010, the band began practicing with a new member, Matthew O Grady, on drums. As a two piece, however, Lost Colours had released a 7-track EP 'Coffee, Songs + Cigarettes' which is now available on iTunes.
More recently, yet still without drums, they have recorded a new 4-track demo 'Softer Side' which is available free for download. The addition of drums gave them room to perform much more upbeat, energetic music alongside their usual relaxed style, making the band more varied and hugely improving their live shows.
The band are currently planning tours around the country, intending to reach as far as Galway, Cork and Belfast.
