  • Can somebody explain to me what EK's plan for LANDING that rocket was...?

  • The rocket was set up with a 3 parachute system that was suppose to bring him down on the other side at 7 mph. The front end of rocket was equiped with a POGO STICK setup. This would have allowed Evel to absorb the landing shock with his legs. Even in tests we never got to the other side to see if this worked. Thanks for asking. Good question.

  • Great video ! It must have been excting working with Evel Knievel at the peak of his career. I was very sad to here of his passing. Like most kids growing up in the 70's Evel Knievel was my hero.

  • It was a very interesting experience for me and everyone concerned. Thanks for our comment.

  • evel is the reason i am who i am. without him my life would be completely diffrent.

i'm glad its not. all my jumps are ment to pay respect to the man that started it all.

    nice video Don.

  • Thanks for posting this. It's nice to see such a positive tribute to a man whom I STILL love and respect---and still at 41, play with the toys. Despite our faults and failures, what we leave behind is who we really were. He left a great legacy. Great vid, thanks.
