WNYC reportage. Elle Muliarchyk reveals her latest photography project - Black Holes New York Night Self Portraits. She was inspired by the launch of Large Hadron Collider - a particle collider that made people worried that its operation will create Black Holes. But it was good news for Elle - she imagines that the Black Holes DID appear all over the NYC and make the fantastical journeys to distant countries, Universes, dimensions, even travel in time possible through photography. The places she photographs are usually boring, overlooked, or banal (like cheesy tourist spots), but because she shoots at night when they are abandoned and the light is different, she transforms them beyond recognition.
