Punkin, Icelandic Sheep (wether) and his Portuguese Water Dog friend, Rock, turn the tables on herding. Note: On 11/20/2011, Rock became only the 3rd PWD to become a Certified Urban Search and Rescue Dog, following in the footsteps of his sire, Dutch, a nationally recognized USAR dog who served at World Trade Center on 9/11 and his PWD pack mate Spider, who worked in New Orleans during the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Punkin, well, he is still happy and healthy here at Eight Pond Farm.

Yes. Rock is a PWD. His dam was imported from Portugal and his sire was a well-known PWD from the USA. Rock is a farm dog, so he does not get groomed quite as well or regularly as a show dog -- you are probably used to a different haircut! Our dogs usually get sheared in the spring like the sheep!

Yes, the video is wonderful! I had watched before when someone on a sheep email list gave the link. Our 5 PWDs are 14.5, 12.5, 8, 5 and 5 years.

Well, there are some similarities, but Rock is a PWD. He is about twice the size of a Pumi.
