there's a million reasons people say not to skip sizes... go ahead and google what happens when you size skip while stretching. Believe it or not, stretching should not hurt except for that little tiny pinch and a little soreness, if it hurts as much as this guys did, stop and give your ears more time. massage them with oil or soak them, keep them happy.

@plainpurple Yep, its mainly called gauging in the states, here in england most people call it stretching or tapering, but some still cal it gauging here also.
