I don't get on my horse exactly like that...but I rarely use a mounting block...only in English..my Western stirrups are long enough to let me get my foot up, but not my English...I'm too short haha! My instructor says if I'm on the trail ,and I think I should get down, I shouldnt chang my mind just because I can't get back up.

@ahorseluver4evr no its not =) its best to train your horse for that , say you were being chased bysome weird drunk guy on a trail ride and you were bareback no mounting block in sight and ou had to get away fast =)
