LAPTOP Magazine gets a demonstration of the new Google Wallet payment system, which uses an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip embedded in a smart phone to make mobile payments.

  • I don’t understand all the pushback from this product. People complain about security but what is the difference? You lose the wallet some takes your card and slides it; you lose your phone at least someone will have to enter a pin, maybe even a finger print. Also as soon as you realize your phones missing go to your Google account and deactivate the account. Easier than finding all the numbers, calling, and then canceling the cards.

  • I don'y carry a wallet..I don't reach for a wallet..I might go for this gadget in future..but I have not upgraded my W810i mob for long.

  • @AtaArticles i use my cards for everything. safer than cash. if i lose cash i'm screwed...if i lose my cards...they're replaceable.
