I grew up in Alamosa. Even though I ran track in High School and ran a lot, I never realized what fertile ground Alamosa was for runners until later on.

great post...Daniels was my coach in college and i still study his work and train myself and my athletes with his formulas.

Thank you SO much for posting these video interviews. Jim Ryun was my HERO growing up. I have his Sports Illustrated covers in my office. As a young teenager I saw him run many times in Detroit (Cobo Hall) for NCAA Indoor Championships, including double mile/2-mile victories. So great to hear these reminiscences. Even today at age of 52 I'm still running—with peace and faith. Thanks again!
