PN freight 5MC2 with around 10,000 ponies up front making good time on the approach to the climb out of Donnybrook followed closely by V/Line 8325 Seymour commuter service. The telephoto effect really brings home the appalling state of the track on both the broad and standard gauge lines at this location. Watch the rock and roll between the signal posts as the freight passes.

  • Will you ever be coming to Canada again?

  • @HaltonRailfan Highly unlikely but who knows.

  • @Rocketboy1950 where is donnybrook? gr8 vid btw

  • @Iamherenowful about 30k north of Melbourne on the Hume. Just Google map Donnybrook Victoria. You'll soon find it.

  • what type of locomotive was that??

  • @SAOTOME666 They are all EMD variants. The freight had a JT26C-2SS, AT42C, JT26C-2SS and the passenger train had a JT22HC-2. That is a Victorian G class, Australian National DL class, G and a V/Line N class.

  • I like the way you are able to get much more out of the shot with the way you use your camera compared to others.
