Utilizing the pilates reformer to help strengthen the knee during an injury rehabilitation program. This exercise is performed once the patient has demonstrated that the knee is strong enough to add resistance in a lateral direction. This typically occurs once pain and swelling has disappeared, full range of motion has returned, and the patient has successfully gone through exercises with only gravity being used as resistance and with other modes of resistance. This exercise occurs in the beginning phase of my Return to Sport corrective exercise protocol.
