@TheColonialFleet Still, it is a very rigorous and precise task. Everyone has to do their jobs, and they have seconds to do it. This kind of setup is less than a FOB too. Doesnt mean that they arent farther from the line, theyre just not living the life. Most of the dangers in those mountains are snipers, arty, and meticulously placed IEDs, all of which the mortarmen may encounter, though less than the Infantryman.

@CthuluCthulian it's not that intense guy, they're firing from the FOB and they're are plenty of guys there to film. Plus I'd like to see you work for 12 months 7 days a week straight and not have a little fun.

the water is for cooling the tube

@chez372 Well no. I would guess there in no local stream, thus the bottled water. But rather than pallets of little drink bottles you have a 5 gallon bucket or water cooler jug to cool the tube down.

@WALTERBROADDUS lol cuz they have running water in the Korengal.

They seem a bit disorganized. They should have stuff set up in place, No running all over the place looking for some thing like water. They should have a 5 gallon can or jug. Not little bottles for drinking to use.
when i watch such vids i wonder " who the hell is filming that? Doesnt he have a task to do? "

@CthuluCthulian Well for most videos filmed in combat they are mostly shot by combat journalist, who job is to film it.
