i both a Yamaha RX V-365 5.1 reciever / speaker set that was on sale.
(last day sale) actually this is my first time to own a entertainment system.. one technical guy from yamaha told me their reciever is pretty good but the speaker they have is not really well known for? co'z there are several companies specializing on speaker alone.. im just wondering how does it compare to the other brands like JBL, WHARFDALE, JAMMO sort of in terms of sound quality?

You only need one :-). If your XBOX360 has an HDMI port, just connect it to an HDMI in on the receiver and make sure that your receiver is set up for audio through the HDMI port rather than digital or optical input. As always, let me know if you have any further questions! Hope you enjoyed the vid.
does yamaha receivers run hot? i need a receiver i can jam my music with and i dont want it to burn up. what would i look for to know if the amp will play loud and clean?

Some receivers do run hot but this specific model runs surprisingly cool. I have it on for about 10-12 hours a day and it is still holding up really well. It stays relatively cool.
You would look for a couple of things. Home theater Audio is the vital pair of speakers and the receiver. You cannot have a stellar receiver and crap speakers or vice versa.
Look for HDMI connectivity, wattage, inputs, expandability and future-proofness.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
