Follow me on my exploratory journey into the 3rd Dimension.
I'll do my best to study up on how to transfer some of the results into a digital format. That way it can be consumed via YouTube's player for you all to marvel at. (or to ridicule if it all turns out to be load of old tat)

  • it would be nice if you could show us some 3D pictures :)

  • @DJBullCrap Yup, I show them at the end of part 2. Search for Holga 3D on YouTube

  • The red and blue filters are for taking old-school stereoscopic images (the kind you use the red and blue glasses with).

  • @atari67 Thanks for your comment. I had thought the same but it would have too much colour bleeding from one image to the other and messing up the 3D effect. I am pretty sure the gels are for "artistic" lighting more than anything else. I have seen the 3D working in full colour without the red and blue glasses. I'll show the 3D viewer in part 2.

  • looks very interesting! I myself have a Fuji w3 3d- would be cool if they made a digital version of this where you could replace the lenses

  • You could do a whole video on the odd expressions people give you when you point that camera at them...lol...:-)

  • N for normal and b for bulb

  • @l4mbr3tt4 I agree, I bought a sputnik instead and it's fantastic, all metal build, great lenses, everything the holga is not.

  • For the money, the vintage Russian made Sputnik stereo camera is a superior choice. See all those instructions? There are too many precision adjustments and considerations in stereo photography to take such chances, especially at the cost to shoot 120 color reversal in stereo AKA slide film (6 pairs per roll)! With that said, I wouldn't mind messing with the pinhole version.
