The Seminole Nation, located in Florida and Oklahoma, has a very courageous and strong history. This video discusses their history in brief and how the tribe relates to Florida State Univeristy. This video was created for the ANTH 317 North American Indian Cultures class during the Fall 2010 semester at the University of South Carolina.
To the fans and the university and the Seminoles: We will always be the Florida State Seminoles. No matter if they ever make us change it or not. We will still do the chop and I will make sure whenever I wear FSU clothes it has the Osceola logo on it.

"Recently moved to Oklahoma." Are you serious? It was called the Indian Removal or the Trail of Tears, and was 175-150 years ago. I would not call it recent, and it was forced upon them. "Recently moved to Oklahoma" sounds like something they did by themselves.
And if the tribe approves of the Osceola rider (not mascot), don't you think they can speak for themselves? Same as always; everyone else thinks they know what is better for the tribe than the tribe itself.

There is a difference between the Seminole NATION--which is in Oklahoma. In Florida, they are called the Seminole TRIBE of Florida. They are not the same. Please do not call the Seminole Tribe of Florida as the Seminole Nation. And the outfit that the Chief Osceola wears is made and sponsored by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. That beaded bandolier bag that he is wearing in your video takes hundreds of hours to make and is worth about $1200. Not something anyone would have.

Exactly we give back to the Seminole tribe and UNLIKE other schools we ask them about historic facts about the Seminole tribe's of Florida. We work hand and hand with them so everyone screaming take Osceolo away......... SUCK MY FUCKING HUGE COCK!
