Some real-time demonstrations of the Chipmunk open source 2D physics engine rendered with OpenGL. It's a fun engine to play around with.http://wiki.slembcke.net/main/published/Chipmunk

You almost fooled me into thinking Chipmunk was a 3D engine, after all. Don't get my hopes up like that! Nice idea to render the simulations in 3D, though. Very clever.

0:40 Please tell me that was you applying an upwards force to it, cause if it wasn't, something is very wrong with Chipmunk.

I never really thought about making a 3D game with 2D functions, that'd be cool for a 3D Mario sorta thing.

I guess that's floating point approximation errors for you right there.

How did you made it? C++?

strange the way the grid of blocks at 0:40 breaks that way. i think it would have to be slightly asymmetrical to even collapse at all
