I was a regular at Inner light while I was working in Pensacola. I was more astounded by how far he went to attract customers by doing the same evangelical angle (I am referring to those little informational pamphlets for free by the door) in order to be accepted. But, Inner light is one of 2 total surf shops in Pensacola (If you don't count the dive shop) Really though, Ron Jons sells surf boards, wetsuits, wax, and shorts. That's all I need So they pass for me.
Innerlight is big in Pensacola. When I was there on business, I made fast friends with them. And pensacola does get big if the right storms form off shore. Personally though, I still prefer Cocoa Beach over Pensacola for waves any day of the week
Innerlight would be Ron Jon in a second if they could get the foot traffic that pours through Central Florida. Innerlight carries the same junk, the cheap sunglasses, the t-shirts emblazoned with their logos, all the crap you dismiss Ron Jon for peddling. Ron Jon is the McDonald's of surf shops, Innerlight is the local burger joint, same product, different scale. The shop for gay guys is in Huntington Beach, Ca, a place, unlike Pensacola, that actually has surf, thus more real surfers.
Jesus, i wish I had a shopping spree at that pro shop!

I'm sorry I remember Mcgregors down A-1A Off 12th Near S Brevard avenue for being a decent surf shop.
