It seems as if I see TWO groups of "Christians" here, having God's spirit but cannot seem to agree on one thing as to what's going on in the middle east. But hey, wait! Both are quoting from Scripture and obviously, one sees it as as mis-interpretation that's why he/she disagrees.

No wonder why when it comes to religion (particularly Christianity) many AREN'T convinced. Can't you ppol just pull yourselves together and stop this meaningless arguments. Start lovin one another! The world is watchin you and u haven't so far been a good testimony! You profess to love n like Christ but you aren't Christ-LIKE! The Christian support for Israel is based on Old Testament prophecies of the End Times which make it clear that it is Gods will for Israel to be a nation right now, that God will intervene ON ISRAELS BEHALF against it's enemies and that God has and will judge Israel and ultimately have mercy on Israel. See Zecheriah ch.12 and ezekiel ch 36-39.

One thing that makes up most Christians minds about Israel is the fact that the future of the present state of Israel is already spelled out completely in the prohecies of the Old Testament. (Zecheriah ch. 12, ezekiel ch 39,)

The common belief among Christians that Israel is 'God's chosen nation' is probably the most destructive heresy of the modern Christian church. The gospel of the New Testament brings Jew and Gentile together as 'one in Christ'. There is no separate purpose for 'Jews'. In the New Covenant all are called to be one people in Christ (Galatians 3:28) through repentance from sin and baptism. The wall that divides Jew and Gentile in Israel today is an offence to the gospel.

For a better understanding of the new covenant people should read Romans chapter 11. The whole chapter is about Israel and the new covenant.
