Please rate ! Here's my drum cover of one of my favorites by Iron Maiden. There's a couple of mistakes such as wrong tempo and wrong fills, so please don't be too hard on me... I'm a beginner (learning drums for almost a year). And sorry for the poor sound quality, it sounds better if not compressed by Youtube !

Drums: Pearl ELX (export), 14'' snare - 10''/12'' tom-toms, 16'' floor tom, 22'' bassdrum config.

Cymbals:

MEINL MCS series : 20'' ride, 16'' crash, 18'' crash, 14'' hihat.
MEINL Classics series: 14'' china and 12'' splash
SABIAN AAX seriesL 16'' rock crash.

Mics: 2 x Shure PG57's for everything but bassdrum; Alpha series for bassdrum.

  • @zellofhell Why would he use a double bass set when covering iron maiden??

  • @MrCobra285 i dont want to be the asshole, but i dont get why everyone gets up in peoples faces for playing maiden with a double bass, sure Nicko doesnt use one, but not everyone is as good as Nicko, he has been playing drums for 30+ years, he is pretty good, this guy is a great drummer, who cares if he uses double bass, he is not nicko,

  • @MrCobra285 That's because it is lot easier to play with the double kick. Kills the essence though.

  • cooooooooooool!!!!!!!!

    UP to Irons !!!!!!!!!!

  • @turts02

i'm not trying to be annoying, and i'm sorry if I am, but it's not an excuse...

people learn things at their own rate

    some learn within weeks

    some within years

me, for example, i am good at guitar playing (I'm not exceptional, but I can play) and my skills were learnt within 3 months...

occasionally, I get better and develop my own and unique style of playing.

    he too is learning...

I guess he must develop some technique of his own to fix his mistakes... not that he's creating excuses

    XD

  • you're a beginner?

I think you've been playing for a bit more than a year mate. Think you're using that as an excuse for your mistakes. But they're not mistakes:) It's just not how the song is played:) GOOD WORK

  • Awesome drumming! Hope you're using your talent in a great band!

  • I don't care what these people say about this drum cover. You did a great job and I have been using this file to teach in my studio. Keep drumming.

  • @Finisherdrummer3 think the first song he is using it is "face in the sand" from dance of death
