As I recall, when Couric asked Palin about what books and mags she reads, that was AFTER the disastrous interview where Palin demonstrated her ineptitude. Seriously, I'm still shaking my head about that one, so I think questioning her intellect was not only very appropriate but necessary for a vp candidate.

Sarah is trying to use the small town smearing tactics that worked for her in Wasilla. She's not all that bright and has shown herself to be incompetent. She's supposed to have a degree in journalism and couldn't even write her own book. The only thing she has got going for her is the support of the religious right and the shared religious beliefs. She would be better standing at the side of Pastor Hagee spouting off apocalyptic fantasy.
