A superb performance--up there with the best of them, including the present crop of female belters! So glad these Connie performances are preserved and available for us to see again and again!

I'm italian from nyc we heard connie singing in the cradle......I can remember being as young as 2 and making my mother play the italian favorites album over and over lol

a real artist. beautiful voice. perfect pitch. complete dedication to text. a truly beautiful woman who sings from the heart. what more could you ask for? Not many around like this any more.

@AConnieChannel I think your theory is quite valid!
You were born at the very height of "Connie-mania"....at a time when she was turning out hit songs with the precision of a Coca-Cola bottling plant assembly line! So, yes, I do believe your babyhood predisposed you to become a CF fan. The seed was planted in `61...the flower bloomed in `73.
I genetically inherited the "Connie-gene". My Dad was nuts about her in the `60`s. Thanks to video, she`s now doing the exact same thing to me!

@vanguard1952 HI there! I totally agree! This one gives me goosebumps!
-
Stunning.
-
@primogennaio You are so right! Thank you for watching and for commenting! Sincerely, Ken

No one sings a song like Connie Francis.
-
@chompo7 How are you, Joe?

@ILUVCF1961 Hi there! I totally understand how you feel! The same with me! Good to hear from you - it has been a while! Best, Ken

if I wrote 20 million thankyou cards to miss connie francis it wouldnt be enough to thank her for sharing her talent
-
back for another view,it never gets old.i get so mind boggled as to how she just opens
her mouth and out comes that voice so easily! and to know how tiny she really is
makes all the more mind boggling.

@CrooningRick Hi there! I agree with you about Connie's voice being perfect for the song. I also love Andy Williams. Have you seen the video I posted of them singing a duet together?
-
like an angel....its the perfect voice for this song. Uhmmmm I`m an Andy Williams Fan..
-
@Thorneycroft1937 - Hi Jonas! No, I haven't see that clip yet, but I will search for it. I grew up listening to Connie Francis. Connie is one of my favorite vocalists of all time, along with Shirley Bassey.

@sas9023055 I see you love Connie Francis, have you heard her singing Goldfinger? There's a video here on YouTube.

What a wonderful interpretation of this timeless classic by the great Connie Francis!
Rather than a box set of Connie`s TV performances, I have a more appealing suggestion :
How about someone building us a "time machine"....we`ll set it at "1961"....and never change that dial!

@MrYellowlabs I love your idea!!! Love it! Although I will want to be the age I am NOW. I was born in 1961!!! LOL!

@AConnieChannel Good point!
Clearly, a few glitches would have to be worked out. I can see where a newborn infant might not be able to fully appreciate Connie`s talent.
What am I saying?!? You actually experienced this in 1961! Who would know better than you?

@MrYellowlabs You are so funny! Actually, I've always wondered if my love of CF comes from my babyhood and early childhood when she was so popular. I have no memory of her at that time in my life, though. I first learned of her in 1973 when I was 12 years old - she appeared on a Dick Clark TV special and I was immediately riveted by her voice. I've been a fan ever since!

I find myself back here, once again, to view this video. Can't seem to stay away for too long (I fear this is bordering on obsession, and I may have to seek psychiatric counsel - lol). There isn't enough space to state the remarkable abilities CF possesses as a vocalist, and interpreter of song. She hits every mark, on every level (phrasing, range, vocal control, gestures, I could on and on). In the end, Connie Francis remains as one of the worlds most amazing, and mesmerizing vocalists.
