  • Thanks for all the videos & music!

Would you mind uploading You Turn Me On, I'm a Radio?

Oh, and, are you into Dylan?

  • @Rossonero072213 You're very welcome. And yes, I just uploaded that over on my 2nd channel - 'chissyremembers'.

    I like Dylan :)

  • Such a gorgeous, otherworldly song. Love Jaco's bass on this :) And again, thanks for the high quality audio and album art. It really makes the upload!

  • @kreepykitteh You're welcome. One of Joni's best, imo :)

  • I've always loved the line "Each so deep yet superficial/Between the forceps and the stone". Amazing and beautiful contrasts!!!

  • I'm a guy but, I'm realizing what she's getting across in this song is similar to what I'm feeling. I am not running away from a relationship like she is, but I run away from any relationships because I am afraid of winding up with "freaky people" like I have before and am afraid of being hurt. So the reflective quality of this fits my reflectiveness now....

  • Oh wow, that IS Jaco!!!

  • @1492tomato That's a nice way to put it.

  • @macgregor2150 You Bet! Poet's do that. But Joni took it a step a further: she put music worthy of the words. Look at her paintings, listen to her interviews, read her lyrics, listen to her melodies: this woman is ahead of her time. She will have less hits than "GaGa," but she'll be taught in poetry and music classes - mark my word.

I agree, that's some song. Grabs you in the soul where the words don't go...

  • How the hell does this only have 11,000 views???

  • Q maravilha.......

  • I bought this album on release in '76. Took me a while to get into it and soon got completely hooked. The quality on offer here is really deep. I worry' that so few people have even heard of Hejira and Joni. As another song states- "We are but a moments sunlight fading in the grass". Later in the eighties I was living in America and got so into Pat Metheny (who was a good friend of Jaco. I realised much later that he had been with her on the Darkness & Light tour. She sure understood quality!

  • I woke up with this song playing in my mind. Then I played it on the guitar. It's in B so even without her special tuning you can make it sound good with the open b string. Then I tried to sing it and I couldn't. Not because I couldn't hit the notes -but because I kept bursting into tears. Am I manic? Is the song? Not really. It's not depressing. It's just that the words have so much depth and impact. That's some song!

  • I fucking love this song. it's amazing.
