dump truck vs box truck accident

Shortly after 11pm on Wed, Sept 14 calls came into West Warwick and East Greenwich FD's reporting an accident on Rte 95 southbound between exits 7&8.

Companies arrived to find a dump truck that rear ended a box truck, pushing it 200' into the woods. The driver of the truck was trapped and the jaws of life had to be used to extricate the victim who suffered only minor injuries.

Apparatus from Warwick, East Greenwich and West Greenwich assisted on the scene.

The accident caused a several mile backup.
