Out of 1,360 pictures taken over a period of about two weeks, 480 were used to make this movie clip. It took a lot of patience waiting for those pansies to open and finally one of them did LOL.

  • Thanks y'all for your nice comments!

  • Hi Karen, thanks for your comment.

I also tried to use my camcorder for time-lapse sequences. I built an electronic circuit that actuated a solenoid that pushed on the record button every set time apart. I don't know of any other way to do it except with very expensive video cameras that have a built-in feature for taking time-lapse sequences.

For my still cameras I also use the same technique with self-build electronic actuators.

  • @djacob7 How you can built that electronic circuit machine? I really want to learn how to make things like that, for specific use for daily home things or another. My question is..you studied something about Electronic? or just learn alone?

  • Thanks for responding here. We are building our house and when it's finished i'll get hubby to see if he can make a electronic actuator...

  • Enjoyed watching this one also. Years ago I did some time lapse filming of flowers using the old time 8mm movie cameras and am now into video. I would like to try this using video camera and my Pinnacle program. How do you accomplish this technique of time lapse on flowers using video... Thanks ~~ Karen
