one of a kind. a real artist

Another good example of the decade is Dead Can Dance. They found their own way, in much the same as Tom Waits did.

The 1980s did in fact "suck", musically speaking. If it wasn't for the handful of artists doing anything worth listening to...like Tom Waits...we'd have all succumbed to Terminal Disco Hangover (TDH).

Big Time is just awesome, it should be put on dvd, this is great, Ribot is a cool guitarist

I find a lot of his stuff impenetrable but GOD, does music get any better than this? The visual aspect really adds to it - thumping the piano stool, the gestures, squirming and grimacing - I can see why he's such a huge live draw.

No one was making better music at the time.

greatest guitar solo of all time, why isnt this on any other live release!!??
please, please, has anyone the bit of him doing Frank's Wild Years in a pub from the start of the show, if so PLEASE POST
This is how it's done..... this is how music should be..... there is NO-ONE better than Waits. Marc Ribot on guitar, Greg Cohen on upright bass, Ralph Carney on sax..... it really can't get better than this. Thanks so so much for putting this up dude..... beers are on me.
