Took 3 videos at NorCal Hobbies in Union CIty, CA of my DRX on the Short Course (10th Scale) track out there. I was very please with how well it performed. It was about 95° Fahrenheit (35° Celsius) so she had to run rich or she would overheat. Had the pleasure of sharing the track with Youtube user Rallysol and his Old but clearly capable HPI Super Nitro Rally.

  • Great vid! What tires do you have on those? I'm actually converting my HPI RS4 3 Evo+ to a SNR.

Just bought the SNR shock towers, now time for bigger springs. Can't wait to also paint my Lancia Delta!

  • @PurebredFL1P Hey they are just stock tires. Would love to see a RS4 3 converted into a modern SNR.

  • once your car is in the air, you can balance it by accelerating or breaking, accelerating makes the front come up and breaking does the opposite. that way you can make a smoother landing and get more life time outta your car.

nice video, i have both cars and their great. wish i had a track in my neighborhood like yours haha

  • @morganwolff Thanks this is good advice. I found that doing that with this car only helped so much. It works better on cars with bigger tires. I was also not nearly as good at using throttle and breaking for pitch like I am now. Thank again!

Hey it looks like the drx is a fine car. is it good for a beginner like me? i 've got electric rc's but no experience with nitro. i really want 1 , after checking more ids on youtube. i just want your opinion. and what about its top speed?

    thanks dude... :D

  • @nilesh572 I am a complete Nitro NUBE for the most part. I had an old HPI Nitro RS4 RTR like 10 years ago and I muddled my way through it. But modern engines are more complex. My advice is not to get into Nitro unless you have a friend that at least kind of knows what they are doing. Or be very good at finding info online about working with nitro engines. Take it slow and be patient. The DRX is fast, but not stupid fast. I think its just right for a Rally Car.

  • Nice! I'll buy one tomorrow :D

  • @bigeslozr Hey there.. Please shoot me an PM and I will give you my e-mail address and I will help you out best I can. Most of my stuff is electric, but there are some amazing nitro options out there. Most of my cars are electric so my experience with modern nitro is limited. I might be able to at least tell you what not to buy and a few great places in the Bay Area including where this video was filmed, Nor-Cal Hobbies in Union City. I will be there on Friday.
