So if you've ever been pinned down by a super (specifically tested with Proton Cannon because it's always hitting) and you want to stop the chip and do some damage back, use X-Factor Cancelling! Some people have been aware of the power... but now everyone knows! Special thanks to Sawa, yeb, Neph, and the people on #capcom helping to test! =D

The trick here is to buffer a move that has invulnerability on the first frame (the moment the move starts). This video contains just a small assortment. It's up to you to find all of the different uses for your team (assuming they have some!). Remember, XFC cancels all of the guard-stun and recovery of anything you use it to cancel. Very powerful!

Note 01: No matter how fast the super is (in my testing), you can always XFC and then block. There may be exceptions... please comment!

Note 02: All X-Factors used in this video were Level 1.

  • for Akmua and his Raging Demon, you can also do it without x-factor. just buffer it during super flash, since its full screen and invincible anyways.

  • @KazuYoshitsuna Yeah, but the point of this video was to show what you can do when you are already pinned down by a move. Even if you are stuck blocking (perhaps maybe an assist pinned you down, allowing the Proton Cannon to keep you in block) you can still XF and buffer the RD during the flash =D.

  • I wont tell you that u have no life

but how many hours do you spent on this game???

  • @Megadeth080 Just enough to come up with a few combos here and there =D.

  • Aww.. no x23 Hyper? That one is my favorite. Even if they try DHCing out it still hits lol

Also it should be mentioned that this is a VERY UNSAFE TACTIC if they still have x factor because most of the moves that have lots of invul are unsafe on block, and they can just X factor cancel their own move and block or jump and punish with a full x factored combo (instead of just doing a random ass x factor hyper as displayed over and over again in this video)

  • YOU'RE GETTING ON MY- WEAPON X.

    o________o

  • @Gigi23Alex You're welcome.

  • @mansuru Thank you mansuru, yeah I learned that but at least a person is nice enough to say how without laughing at me

  • @Gigi23Alex Hit all the 4 buttons (or what ever buttons you assign the Light, Medium, Heavy and special) simultaneously during guardstun, hyper combos (not lv.3 hypers), basic, command, special moves or launcher (S button).

Note: X cancel in air won't work in vanilla but does in Ultimate.

  • Whats the inputs for akuma's raging demon. i Still can't get the hang of it.

  • also wondering what other situations xfc'ing is also useful in other than blocked multi hit supers. i see good players do it sometimes but can't really tell why they were able to pull it off. thanks

  • assuming the opponent has enough meter, if they dhc will their super beat yours? like if iron man did proton cannon, and then you xfc into hyper charging star, then he dhc'd into bionic arm would he end up winning that exchange? would he even be able to dhc?

  • And also, At the end, nice Akuma basic :3

  • Anybody else hear Phoenix scream?

  • This was just unreal, man. Can't wait to see people start doin' this stuff at tourneys
