  • I was going into the Bitter End and my friend asked the woman on the door if the band were any good and she just shook her head with a pained look on her face and mouthed No as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. I loved being in New York and I loved Bleeker Street.

  • of course I love this video also. thank you for taking me on such a wonderful journey.

  • Like most of downtown Manhattan, it costs more to live there. There are few reasonably-priced supermarkets, and the air pollution is very bad.

It's one of those places that has a great look, and a bohemian feel, but it's not worth living there.

  • 1:29 just what this place needs the fragrance of

  • Does anyone remember Meandros, that Greek restaurant on McDougal, I think. No longer there unfortunately. Sigh. Just like the rest of NYC, keeps a-changin'. Miss a lot of places. Thanks loads for sharing a great vid :)

  • Thank you for the film! This is one of my favorite places on earth. Joe's pizza is "ok". Nothing to go crazy over. Mamouds Fallafel on Mcdougal IS worth going crazy over!

Still miss Googies on Sullivan street. That's a loss. I think that was the first bar I tied one on in, way back in the late 60's. I remember when they built that mcdonalds next to Gerdi's. The horror!

I've had the payphone booth at Cafe Reggio dozens of times.Oops,Mcdougal street again.

    See you next month!

  • if i ever visit manhatthan, this video, was very helpful, joe's pizza looks very delectable, and all the differant cheeses, do they make a cheesecake over there?, thanks for the insight.

  • My old street. One of these days if I don't have anything else to do, I'll move back there for a year.

  • Very cool. That was my neighbor "DONATO" the leather clothes maker. I lived on Bleecker Street too.
