makes me realise how lucky I am to have my face... I wont be complaining about the odd pimple again, at least you can cover them up... we shouldn't feel insecure at least we don't look deformed. But hey who knows maybe it'll happen to us too in an accident so better be grateful for ourselves now.

@WhiteRose226 I have to agree. When I first saw that picture it was hard for me to believe that he was alive. He simply looked like a corpse!

I still don't get how the tube is used

I've had the honour of having met several Canadian members of Sir Archibald McIndoe's Guinea Pig Club in the course of doing my Master's degree in history. They are/were the most cheerful, positive people I've ever met. The most fun I've ever had was when I attended the Guinea Pig Club reunion in Victoria BC in 2005 and 2007. RIP Mr. Foxley.

@WhiteRose226 I don't think it makes you vain, i think it makes you human. Some disfigurements are beyond comprehension.

@WhiteRose226 i agree it would be unbearable

great series - so interesting how new modern surgery really is

4:03: if that was me I would honestly just want them to let me die. I know how horrible that sounds, and how vain it must make me, but I couldn't live looking like that.
