Seen leaving from Doncaster station plant Works sidings, the "Electra" 225 in the brand new East Coast livery. With the exception of the class 91 loco on the rear, which of course is still seen in the ex-NEEC/EC livery. The train is (if gen correct) 5Z92 Doncaster - Bounds Green Depot. Photo's now added to my photo site.

  • Hst's are getting painted grey no silver :(

  • One of them things ,eh??

  • I have a question about 91s. Why is it that on the lights of the 91s is there all 4 head lights on, I thought that only 3 are supposed to be on? In all my times of seeing the 91s they have had all 4 lights on, all struck me as strange.

This colour scheme is nice but it's nothing compared to GNER's Blue and red

  • @liamshaw666 one to ask the drivers of the 91's??

  • なんとなく新幹線の「こまち」みたいな配色ですね。

  • @shinomoritaka (Somehow the bullet train "Komachi" I like color.) Think that's the translation?? Big debate here about it's colour, some like it, others don't like it. Many thanks.

  • @dfoggin :-) lol

  • @ay76 Haha yeah, I think I have actually seen it. Given another 5-10 years on the ageing 91s ;)

  • @dfoggin Seen a video on here some where, with them rolling out, & fitting the white stripe at Kings Cross.

  • I'm glad these things got a bit of TLC and I think they look pretty good! Those 225 sets still had all that blue paint from GNER with the white stripe livery! It looked like a guy had just got a roll of tape and let the train set off with that old NEEC/EC one.
