Hi Brian, are you in Orange County, CA? That's where we live, and wonder where you got your Dobie, and whether or not you'd recommend the breeder. Also, how old is she now?

Dobermans are not barkers really. They only do alert barks. My dobe is pretty quite even when someone knocks on the door. She only barks when someone comes into the house then she is done.

to tell you the truth, people are so against having dobermans in the neighborhood. From first hand experience, we just bought a beautiful house, close to town. Big fenced in backyard, shes a very well behaved dobie. We just had the police called on us because she barked too much lol. I've had a few problems lately with neighbors being worried or irritated by my doberman which is severly wrong. But you could'nt ask for a better dog! I love mine with all my heart. Good luck to you.

how noisy is she in the house?
i really want a dobe but my neighbourhood has noise restrictions.

if i talk all quiet and quickly to my dog she gets anxious and starts barking and snapping her jaws but that's kinda her que/trick. she doesn't respond to 'speak'.

What type a head gear they use on her ears? Came out nice..I got a 8 week old but no one here in SD does the European style i want :/
